thug life more like ugh life

1. Sometimes you’ll be like, “HEY EVERYONE LET’S DO SUSHI AND DRINKS AND FUN STUFF TOMORROW NIGHT!” but then tomorrow night comes and you regret everything as you try to weasel your way out of plans that you created. You resent 24-Hours-Ago-You for being so enthusiastic. —14 Struggles Of Being Happy and Social Or Sad and Standoffish With No In-between (via formido)

Hara Donuts - Yokohama Motomachi

While Hara Donuts is a franchise, each shop tends to have its own particular ambiance—it would be a shame to write them all off as generic. This shop, located at one end of Motomomachi Shopping Street, speaks of subtle Japanese design influences.

The donuts themselves are definitely different from the North American variety—just a hint of sweetness, with a soft, crumbly texture. Simple, but good. I wouldn’t say “great” because then you would be disappointed—but the experience itself is relaxing.

The Motomachi shop offers a special limited-edition item on its menu—ice donuts—that is to say, a classic Hara donut topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I ordered an iced coffee as well, and the total came to less than 1000 JPY. 3 stars-2 for the atmosphere, 1 for the decent but not mind-blowing sweets.
